About the role
The Asset Strategy & Strategic Partnerships organization will enable consistent delivery of our integrator strategy by partnering with asset and service providers across all scopes of the business. Asset Right Implementation team will enable the asset strategy for ownership and control of assets to support delivery of customer outcomes in the most flexible and cost-effective manner.
As Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to Asset Right Implementation team and enable execution of Maersk’s Asset Strategy based on comprehensive financial evaluation of business-critical decisions that drive best in class customer outcomes and capital efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
  • Establishes a financial framework and governance to drive capital allocation decisions across asset classes and provides an overview of capital spend to senior leadership.
  • Builds complex financial models to support investment decisions across asset classes in Ocean, L&S (including Air) by ensuring alternative asset control options are fully explored and evaluated before an investment case is brought forward for approval.
  • Provides an overview of capital plans and balance sheet to senior leadership. Drives optimisation of balance sheet that delivers best in class return on invested capital.
  • Collaborates with Finance, Business Intelligence and Platforms teams across Maersk to improve the quality of data available to present accurate investment analysis.
What are we looking for
  • Be self-driven and outgoing team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to engage, guide and challenge across functions and disciplines.
  • Be highly analytical and proficient in data driven financial analysis. High degree of proficiency with financial systems and analytical tools.
  • Be able to deal with ambiguity and put structure to relatively new business issues that don’t have a precedence to follow.
  • Be a clear and concise communicator with high degree of executive presence.
  • Have a master’s degree in an analytical field such as Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or an equivalent work experience.
