This position provides patient care of technical nature, performing interventional endoscopy procedures that support and assist the work of the physic! ian, R.N. and Endoscopy Team for the good of the patient.
Responsible for the care of instrumentation before, during, and after endoscopy procedures.
Nature and Scope:
This position assists in implementing and data gathering in the care of the patients undergoing interventional endoscopic procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound procedures, ERCP, fine needle aspiration with slide preparation, biliary and pancreatic duct stints, esophageal stints, manometric procedures, esophageal dilations, specimen collection and other related duties.
This position serves a patient population of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
The position provides technical skills as a member of the interventional endoscopy team, communicating with supervisors, other staff, physicians, and anesthesiologist.
The demands on this position on very d! ynamic because of rapid changes in medical procedures, technic! al knowledge, instrumentation, equipment, policies, procedures, and because of physician’s preferences in equipment, positioning, and supplies.
This position ensures equipment is working properly before procedures, cares for equipment after procedure, and is responsible for reporting equipment that is not working properly or is broken.
This position does
provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience:
1 year as an endoscopy technician performing! ERCP preferred.
License(s):
Current CPR certification by AHA standards required.
Certification(s):
SGNA preferred.
Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
