Job Summary
As an Anesthesia Technician at SpecialtyCare, you will work in and around the operating room under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, CRNA or Registered Nurse performing delegated functions. This position serves hospitals in the Las Vegas, NV and surrounding area.
As an Anesthesia Technician at SpecialtyCare, you! may perform the following duties after receiving appropriate ! training and certification through our in-house program:
Assist anesthesiologist, CRNA or Registered Nurse in preparing the environment and the patient for each assigned case as it related to anesthesia.
Assist anesthesiologist during each case by providing requested/required equipment, instruments, supplies, etc. during and after procedure.
Operates Autologous Blood Processing machine during perioperative period.
Monitors and assists with Intra-Aortic Balloon counter pulsation.
May assist perfusionist during open-heart support procedures.
Operates point of care testing laboratory equipment and reports results to appropriate primary patient care provider as allowed by local scope of practice.
Assists with set-up and monitoring of invasive and non-invasive physiological monitoring devices.
Performs and/or assist Therapeutic Apheresis and Ultrafiltration Therapy as allowed by local scope of practice.

Assists in the movement/relocation of patients with invasive and non-invasive physiological monitoring devices.
Works with the medical staff to maintain an environment that is clean, safe and adequately stocked with sterile and non-sterile supplies.
Organizes in preparation of end of case cleanup and assists in clean up.
Other clinical services as assigned
Requirements
We prefer candidates who have a college degree with an emphasis on healthcare, medical or science degree, healthcare experience or training; and candidates who are in school or planning to go to school for a healthcare, medical or science degree.
Experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred.
This position does require the regular use of reliable transportation to work at multiple locations as needed in Las Vegas, NV and surrounding area.
Must be able to successfully complete on the job training including certification and company! sponsored education modules.
Excellent communication skills a! re essential.
Must be able to work flexible hours as scheduled, including weekends and holidays, and to be on-call as scheduled.
Also must be able to respond to calls or pages within 30 minutes.
