Post by Jobing - Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and OR Coordinator, directs and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of patie! nts across the age continuum as needed to facilitate the delivery of servicesUtilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing careAddresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environmentAssists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously, and as needed, about patient conditionsProvides supervision and guidance to other members of the Operating room staff and may be authorized, in the absence of the Operating Room Coordinator or Director of Surgical Services, to make decisions affecting the Operating Room area Associates Degree in Nursing with a BSN preferredRequired: two years of RN experience working in the Operating RoomPreferred: Three years of RN experience working in the Operating RoomLicensed RN in the State of NevadaBCLS CertificationACLS / PALS / NRP as required Ability to work effectivel! y with computer based charting and other clinical software pro! gramsAdaptability to change, organizational skills, Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
