Description: UnitedHealth Group is currently seeking to employ Nurse Anesthetist Per Diem (513055) right now, this vacancy will be reside in Nevada. This position requires ability to administer General Anesthesia to a wide variety of patients, including Pediatric patients. Also we do a lot of MAC anesthetics, includin! g Ophthamology and Colonoscopy's. Ability to work independently with MD assistance if necessary. Ably to administer General and MAC Anesthesia for Pediatric up to Geriatric patients. Must be comfortable with Pediatrics, although we don't do a large amount of these cases. Also it would help to be able to do shoulder blocks, but this is not manditory. Manages quality surgical health care services to patients in a cost effective manner. 2. Completes a record of health care services provided by him/her. 3. Conducts pre-operative assessments for patients. 4. Presents pertinent history and physical findings to the anesthesiologist on every patient and performs anesthetic plan outlined by the anesthesiologist.
5. Fulfill quality managements and functions as assigned through departmental meetings 6. Maintains adequate anesthesia supplies in the clinical areas on a daily basis. 7. Assists in maintenance of a clinic environment conducive to good medical practice. 8. Maintain! s competence through attendance at appropriate CME meetings. 9! . Attend department, facility, and General Staff meetings. 10. Complies with all Federal, State, and SMA/SHS regulations, policies and procedures.
Fast paced surgical center that is one of the busiest in the country. Involves a lot of walking.
Positions in this job function require specific education/certification/licensure and are considered an extension to Physicians and provide direct patient care in a clinic or in-home setting.

Must be competent medical practitioner and professionally respected by peers. Initiative and judgement are involved in making decisions. The individual must have the capacity to relate well with people so as to win confidence and establish rapport. Must have an even temperament and have demonstrated abil! ity to deal with other staff and nursing personnel. Must have the ability to clearly and easily communicate with peers, senior staff and support personnel. Must be able to accept responsibility and delegate it appropriately.Attended approved CRNA program. Licensed to practice by the Nevada State Board of Nursing and Nationally Certified by the AANA. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nurse Anesthetist in an acute care facility. Prior experience in a multi-specialty group or managed care environment is highly desirable.
