LPN
in this position will not have face to face contact with the patients but will be conducting an extensive pre op phone interview and will ascertain that the patient has completed all of the appropriate pre op testing that is required. The LPN will review any abnormal test results with either the APN dept manager of the Anesthesia Screening Dept or with the on call anesthesiologist for any questions that he/she may not be able to answer. This LPN must be able to work efficiently and at a good pace in order in order to maintain high productivity.

Primary Responsibilities:
Completing phone interview to collect data from patients scheduled for ambulatory surgery and completes the Pre-Op questionnaire
Obtain copies of most recent and required pre-sop testing to prepare the chart for surgery
Review lab values, tests and EKG results and have coordinator review and advise on any abnormal findings
Consult with coordinator on anesthesiologist on all complex cases
Prepare packets for delivery to surgery center in a timely manner
Maintain excellent customer service expectation with patients and physician offices
Complete other assignments as designated by the coordinator or designee within the scope of proactive or as needed to support team
Work closely with the Scheduling Coordinator for any schedule changes or updates
Maintain statistical information on the numbers of patients cleared on a daily and monthly basis for review of productivity
Positions in this function include LPN/LVN with current license, skilled at interviewing patient techniques and has a strong clinical knowledge base.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Current unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the state of Nevada required.
1+ years of clinical nursing experience required. (preferably in ambulatory, outpatient, or acute care setting).
Must have strong telephonic skills to assess patients medical history to prepare patients for surgery.
CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
Must be willing to work in an office/telephonic environment.
Strong computer skills are a must!
